‘Writing puts me in Touch with my purpose, my Self and therefore my direction’ (Massereene-James)
In an increasingly busy and stressful world, it is even more important that we make the space in life to recognise and look after our own needs, both on a personal and professional level.
Reflective Writing is an amazingly powerful tool for self-insight and wellbeing, and Emma has developed her Masters training in Critical and Creative Writing, and Writing for Therapeutic Purposes, into an enjoyable and effective workshop which can help you in your personal and/or professional development. Groups are kept small (never more than eight people) so that teaching is truly personal and you are able to get the most out of the experience.
Once you have learned the tools of effective reflection, putting aside a small amount of time to use them on a regular basis, will make you: better focused; enjoy better mental health; change habitual ways of thinking; process and make sense of things that have worried or upset you; identify new professional and personal paths to take.
Emma offers these one-day workshops on a Sunday from 10-4pm near Christchurch, Dorset. Each day’s workshop costs £85. To reserve your place, or find out more, contact Emma at email@example.com No writing experience is necessary, as it is all about the power of the process, rather than the final product. Open to all.
One-day Writing Workshops For Personal Development & Wellbeing for 2018/19 are as follows:
September 9th 2018
January 13th 2019
Writing and Wellbeing
We are also planning special one-day workshops which combine Creative Writing with either walking, yoga or meditation. Writers have been combining their art with gentle exercise and mindfulness for centuries but research has now proved that our creativity really can be enhanced by doing so.
These one day workshops will offer you the opportunity to try it for yourself in a relaxed environment – no prior experience of any element is necessary. Each day’s workshop costs £85. To find out more or reserve your place, contact Emma at firstname.lastname@example.org
