As you can tell, we are passionate about the importance of creating space in our lives to do the things that make us feel good. Yoga is also all about creating space – space in our bodies to let them relax and maintain healthy postures; space in our diaphragms to let us breathe deeply and properly; space in our minds to help us stay balanced and focussed and space in our hearts for loving relationships with ourselves and others.
We also believe that there is a strong connection between yoga and creativity, providing both the mental space for a spark to ignite and the mental discipline required to turn that spark into something tangible. Traditionally, yoga was practised to help prepare for the stillness of meditation, and today it remains invaluable for bringing peace to both mind and body. Hatha yoga’s combination of physical postures (asanas), breath work and meditation has been shown to improve mental wellbeing as well as building strength, balance, flexibility and muscle tone in the body – and helping us to unwind after too many hours at a laptop!
Emma’s classes are both relaxing and invigorating, and will arm you with simple breathing techniques and postures that you can call upon at any time to help restore, inspire, calm and focus.
Please note: No prior experience is necessary. Classes are open to all.
